A huge and important task in your online process is understanding how your customer is interacting with your website and your online presence.
Many customers come to Summit Web confused on whether how they can track– how they can track these customers, and there’s a very, very simple and easy and free tool you can use.
It’s called Google Analytics and it tracks every single thing your customer does on your website. How long it’s there for, what pages they interact with most, what medium they come through, whether they come through social media, direct, or find you through SEO.
What you want to do is use this tool to go and analyse their behaviour. So let’s say we’re getting a traffic from search engine optimisation, and often that traffic is converting better than, let’s say, social media for your specific business.
Therefore, in our ongoing plan, we can put more emphasis on our search engine optimisation because that’s getting us a better return on investment than social and vice versa.
It could work the other way around. So we want to ensure that we look at these tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and a whole heap of other suites of tools to ensure our website is performing and get every single ounce of conversion out of it all the time.
Your website should always be an ongoing process. Think of it as your top-performing sales guy. You want to continually educate it, continually tweak it to ensure you get sales leads and customers from your online presence.
