There are a huge amount of ways to market your business, whether it’s offline or online through digital marketing.

In this video, I’m going to quickly run you through some of the main digital marketing mediums, and how they can attract leads and sales to your business.

First off is Search Engine Optimization or SEO for short. This is where a customer finds your website through the organic search. Now you got to understand that there’s two parts of a search engine result when you enter your keyword phrase in.

The first part, which is generally the first four results are advertising and you can see it via those little green ads on the side. Below that is the organic results. 80% of customers click on organic results rather than the ad words. So organic results are very, very lucrative, but they take a long time to get there. Generally, we’re talking 12 to 18 months to get to the first page.

The next one is what we just touched on, ad words or PPC marketing, pay-per-click. This is where you pay to be at the top of the search engine rankings. Now while you don’t get a huge amount of volume of clicks, you still get quality clicks because a customer has entered their search query, so whether it’s specific to their problem, and that shows buyer intent. And therefore when they click onto your website, if your landing page is good or your website is good, then they’re more likely to confirm.

Next one is obviously social. So we can start generating leads and sales through Facebook, at Pinterest, at Twitter, whatever medium you want. But understand that social has its pros and cons just like the other mediums.

Generally, you don’t ever search intent in social media. So when a customer is scrolling through their news feed, they don’t have a complete and utter intent to go and buy a certain product or service. Therefore, generally, the conversion rates of when they come onto your website, to ring your phone number or to purchase a product, are lower.

This is general. This can change as per one of your product. Generally, social works really well to a full B to C or consumer-based products.

And then the other one is obviously direct advertising. So approaching blogs or approaching high-traffic websites and directly putting your ad on one of their articles or on the side.

This can be very lucrative because you just pay one month– a one upfront fee for a month and then generate clicks to your website, ongoing through that whole month.
